2018 Program Submissions

The Australian Brewers Conference provides you with a platform for your work to be recognised and shared among industry professionals in Australia and abroad. If beer matters to you, your business or your sector, we want to hear from you.

The IBA is seeking abstracts to be considered for inclusion in the 2018 conference program.

The Australian Brewers Conference is a keystone event of the brewer’s calendar and is growing to be an educational and trade event of international significance.

The Australian Brewers Conference exists to build excellence and best practice in the brewing industry.

The Australian Brewers Conference comprises two streams: The Business of Beer, and Brewery Operations.

The IBA is seeking technical abstracts that provide best practice, real-world examples, latest research or technologies and emerging trends on the following topics:

  • Brewery Operations
  • Marketing and Management
  • Quality
  • Safety
  • Selling Beer
  • Start-ups
  • Sustainability
  • Technical Brewing

All submission must be non-commercial. Abstracts that discuss commercial products, technologies, services must provide competitive context, and show no commercial bias.

Sessions at the conference are 30 mins or 45 mins. The IBA encourages creative, interactive, experimental, non-traditional and collaborative formats. Presentation formats can be, but not limited to power point presentations, panels and Q & A sessions.

The IBA reserves the right to determine the length of each session and form panels where appropriate. The IBA reserves the right to reorganise content, combine proposals, and make other changes as necessary to render the proposal appropriate for presentation at its meetings. The involvement and agreement of the Primary Speaker will be sought on all such changes.

Conference registration is provided complimentary for all presenters selected for inclusion in the conference program.

The presenter is responsible for all other expenses related to participation in the conference including transportation, accommodation and non-included meals.

Speakers are required to provide a copy of their presentation to the IBA by Friday 31 May 2018. Power point templates will be made available to all presenters.
