IBASafe System

Safety is important

Of course all of us want to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained for our employees and ourselves.

But sometimes providing that safe working environment looks difficult. How do I make sense of those regulations? What are my legal obligations as an owner? What is it going to cost? How much down time will there be in the brewery? I think we have all been there.

The Independent Brewers Association takes its role in working to make our industry safer very seriously and we have spent sometime exploring various options for a OHS product that is suitable and cost effective. We believe, that in Victual, we have found a partner who can help us deliver that.

IBASafe Manual

The IBASafe Manual is a brewery specific safety management system designed to be readily implemented in your business. Safety management system elements and key risks issues are addressed by following the manual and with reference to the related forms, guides and online learning.

Officer’s Duties

In embarking on a safety journey, it is important to understand what your obligations are. An online learning module will help you understand your obligations and an online survey will help us understand where you are at on your journey.

Safety Hazard Inspection

A core element of the offering is an inspection of your site by one of Victual’s safety consultants. This inspection will help you implement the IBA safe manual, but will also help us understand the key risk and hazards specific to your operation and develop practical solutions to manage these risks in the workplace.

Online Education

Victual’s vast library of online learning will be provided to support the learning requirements of safety amongst you and your brewing team. From confined spaces, to working at height to hot work, whatever the hazard, there will be education here to help.

Continuous Improvement

Risk management is all about continuous improvement. We will contact you regularly to review your progress and keep things on track. Our guide will be the implementation checklist for the IBASafe Manual and the corrective action register developed from our hazard inspection.
