Owning or working in small business can sometimes feel like a roller-coaster ride – there can be lots of highs and lows along the way. The Hunter Institute of Mental Health are researching the wellbeing challenges that might occur in small business, and need your help. The aim of the research is to gather information from people in Australia who currently work, or have worked in small business to get your perspective on mental health within the workplace, accessibility of health programs, and the types of programs that may be most suitable. The results will be used to guide development of new programs to enhance mental health and wellbeing in the small business industry.

The survey is designed to help better understand the challenges we face in small business, how we deal with them, who we talk to for support and what resources we think would be of value to us in the future. You don’t have to have a mental health challenge to complete the survey. You just need to be either a small business owner or employee. The bigger the voice we have the better the resources that will be developed. This is your opportunity to support those in the small business community who may be struggling.
