BrewCon 2023 Keynote & Early Bird Tickets

The Independent Brewers Association (IBA) has secured one of the most sort after speakers on the Australian corporate speaking circuit…Bernard Salt.

Given the challenges the industry has faced over the last couple of years the IBA wanted to ensure the keynote was inspirational, focused on resilience and being smart in business.

Bernard is a twice-weekly columnist with The Australian newspaper and is an adjunct professor at Curtin University Business School. He was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2017 and its widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading social commentators by business, the media and the broader community.

Bernard heads The Demographics Group which provides specialist advice on demographic, consumer and social trends for business and prior to that founded KPMG Demographics. No mean feat!

He is the man leading property investors, businesses and governments turn to when they need to understand future trends and demographics, a former partner at KPMG and specialises in the business implications of demographic and social change.

Over an outstanding career, Bernard has established an enviable reputation with his acute understanding of market forces and manages to make this all entertaining. The man can also claim that he was also responsible for popularising the smashed avo globally so how can we go wrong!

“We are thrilled to have Bernard as our keynote speaker” commented IBA Chairman Richard Watkins. “Data is key to the success of any business so to have a leader in the industry share his knowledge and insights will be invaluable for those attending the conference. This will be a “must do” for the beer industry to discover opportunities and find inspiration to future proof their operation”.

Securing such a high profile speaker would not have been possible without the support of Business Events Perth who have sponsored the keynote this year ahead of us all descending on Western Australia for BrewCon next year

“We know everyone is super excited about BrewCon, are making plans for who in the team will attend and snapping up accommodation options so due to popular demand we are opening for early bird tickets TODAY”.

The 9th annual BrewCon and Trade Expo will be held on the beautiful Gold Coast between Monday 21st August and Wednesday 23rd August 2023 at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The two-day conference will be jam-packed with content, international speakers, brewery tours, workshops and the largest brewing trade expo in Australia.

The conference concludes with the Independent Beer Awards (the Indies) a night where the industry gets together, beer in hand, to support and celebrate the independent beer industry.

The Indies Awards is a national competition presented by the IBA to celebrate the art and science of brewing and build greater consumer awareness of the excellence within Australian independent beer.
