Get ready to raise a pint as Good Beer Week returns to Melbourne this month

Good Beer Week

The festival celebrates beer, food, and unique adventures, and this year's program promises to be one of the best yet.

With venues old and new rejoicing, this year’s Good Beer Week pays homage to the golden drop with a program not to be missed. From unique flavoured beers to classic pub crawls and even some bowling in between, this Good Beer Week truly offers something for everyone.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Craft beer enthusiasts can join Co-Conspirators, The Foreigner Brewing Co., and Inner North Brewing Co. for the Brunswick Brewery Crawl, a three-part brewery crawl through Brunswick’s back alleys showcasing the brewers’ different systems and beers.

For those looking for a tailored affair, Swill Bar will be throwing a beer and aperitivo-paired disco dinner. Festival-goers will get to meet the minds behind Molly Rose Brewing while Swill Bar whips up tasty canapés to feast on.

The Floating Swine goes to Hepburn, a collaboration with David Willcocks and Rob Kabboord of the recently hatted Surly Goat. This event sees a five-course menu with paired beers celebrating regional beer and produce.

Hosted by Denmark House, Denmark vs. Australia is all about discovering the diverse range of craft beers from Denmark and comparing them with Australia’s exceptional independent craft breweries. The evening will have a three-course sit-down dinner perfectly paired with competing craft beers from both countries.

Boilermaker House will host the exclusive launch event for a week of mischief and good deeds with the House of Deeds. Enjoy a range of specialty brews from Deeds Brewing, complete with merch giveaways, live music, and more.

Beer lovers can join in the Battle of the Bars, Brewers, and Bottle Shops edition, an epic test of bowling skills in a round-robin competition that celebrates Melbourne’s vibrant beer communities. 12 bars, 12 breweries, and 12 bottle shops will go head-to-head, with the winners taking home a massive prize and bragging rights.

Good Beer Week also offers festival-goers a chance to put their taste buds to the test in a game of Beer Flavour Bingo, enjoy a craft beer tour like no other, the Bayside Beer Belt Beer Olympic Tour, and even attend a Karaoke Party to End All Parties presented by Moon Dog Brewery.

Presented by the Independent Brewers Association (IBA), Good Beer Week is an independent and not-for-profit festival that celebrates and promotes the renaissance that beer is enjoying globally. Since the festival’s inception in 2011, its central aim is to promote good beer and the community and culture that surround it.
