Good Beer Week 2023

Sat 20th May, 2023 – Sat 27th May, 2023
Multiple locations
The biggest week on the beer calendar is back with more than 70 events across Melbourne and regional Victoria – expect brewery tours, pub crawls, karaoke, one-off dinners and more.

Praise beer – Good Beer Week is back again. From May 20 to 27, Melbourne’s pubs, bars, restaurants and breweries will come alive to celebrate lagers, pale ales, stouts, sours and everything in between. As ever, there’ll be food and beer pairings, one-night-only collabs and a chance to get up close with some of Victoria’s top brewers.

We’ve rounded up our top picks of the program, including a dinner at Mabu Mabu Big Esso that pairs Torres Strait Islander flavours with Stomping Ground’s new native-produce-driven beer brewed in collaboration with chef-owner Nornie Bero; a party (complete with mechanical bull) at Moon Dog OG to celebrate its limited edition Abbey Collaby brew with CUB, Mountain Goat and Bodriggy; Boatrocker’s beer and cheese pairing designed with chef Rob Kabboord (formerly of Northcote’s cheese-obsessed diner Merricote and neo-bistro Lekker); a Beef, Beer and Barley dinner at Victoria by Farmer’s Daughters, featuring beef that comes from cattle fed with spent grain used by Good Land Beer; and more.

Also on this year’s 70-event line-up: a Brunswick Brewery Crawl between Co-Conspirators, The Foreigner Brewing Co and Inner North Brewing Co; a game of guess-the-secret-beer-ingredient at Local Brewing Co’s new taproom; Disco A-beer-ativo at Swill Bar (by the Wolf and Swill crew) with Molly Rose; a beer festival at The Terminus Hotel featuring nine independent brewers, with punters getting to vote on which one wins a three-month tap takeover at the pub; “The Karaoke Party to End All Karaoke Parties”, AKA the unofficial GBW closing party at Moon Dog OG; and heaps more.

Hop to it.
